Grenada Guide Directory

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in December in the Grenda Gold Apartments (The Plantation Suite). I can highly recommend the place because apart from the very well equipped, tidy and spacious appartment, the great patio and the pool, the host family is just amazing! Right from the start they gave us great tips what to do and see on the island and also helped us for example to find a very knowledgeable tour guide when we wanted to make a trip round the island. The appartement is located in a residential area, so after a while we really had the feeling that we were Grenadians ourselves and not just tourists. There is also a laundry room you can use any time and if you wish you can also bring your own laptop and get online free of charge.

When you stay there I would recommend a car, because the house is located up on a little hill (great view!) and it takes you approximately 15 minutes to drive to the next beach, which is the very beautiful La Sagesse Beach. To Grande Anse where you find a lot of shops it takes you ca. 20 minutes but there is also a little co-op market with reasonable prices just 5 minutes away from the apartment. We booked the car through Indigo Cars, which is also run by the hostfamily and they gave us a very good rate plus they suggested a free pick up from the airport and had the car waiting for us the next morning at the appartment. So we even saved one day car rental because we had a late flight plus after the long journey from Germany to Grenada we were happy that we did not have to drive.
If you want to have a relaxed time away from the big tourist areas this is the place to be! We will definetely go back very soon!!
